O is for Onyx

Onyx is a really cool stone. My WIP series has a group of people named Onyxes - okay, "group" as in two people - and I just think it's a really cool kind of stone.

See? So cool. Just the Cool Stone. If it were a birth stone, it would be for the month of Cool.

I'm talking specifically about Black Onyx, although sardonyx (reddish) and white onyx are cool too. In face, I gave a white onyx cross necklace, and I think it automatically ups my Cool points when I wear it.

Excuse me while I converse with myself:

TOME! What are you doing? Go to bed!

But... I need to make sure I'm at P for the Plotfest today! And you know what my Tuesday schedule is like!

Exactly. I do. That's why you need rest.

Sigh....


Oh, also, Onyx is one of the original 150 Pokemon. Fans of Pokemon will recall that Brock had one and used it against Ash at the gym.
